The Real Madrid University Studies School of the Universidad Europea de Madrid organizes the II International Conference of Physical Activity and Sport with the following objectives:

  • To carry out scientific development in study areas and research fields closely related to sports science and physical activity. 
  • To stimulate the creation of innovative proposals to face the near academic and professional future in this area. 
  • To create innovative programs and approaches to tackle new challenges in our social surroundings. 

Structure and Conference topics

The conference “Challenges in sport today: new strategies and technologies” will consist of different types of participation in the form of presentations, workshops, speeches and posters.

The conference will be divided into 4 topic areas:

Topic area 1: Health, Sport and Physical Activity Physical activity and quality of life; physical activity in special populations; nutrition and physical activity; physical activity, genetics and health; physical activity and attention to diversity.

Topic area 2: Physical and Sportive Education
Physical education in schools; physical activity and sport outside of school; staff development in physical education within the European Convergence of Higher Education Policy.

Topic area 3: Sport Training 
Training methodology; technology applied to training; planning; training conditional, cognitive and coordinative capacities; biomechanics applied to sporting performance; techniques, tactics and strategy.

Topic area 4: Management, Organization and Social Factors in Physical Education and Sport
Sports management and organization; sports equipment and facilities; leisure time and entertainment; sport for all; active and adventure tourism; sporting history; sports law; sport sociology.
